Jonathan Bobo grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. After earning his bachelor’s degree at Bob Jones University, he spent several years working in law enforcement in New Mexico and teaching teens at a local church. He later joined the Army, and during his time in the military had the privilege of serving in churches in different states, both in a teaching role and as a deacon. After being stationed at Fort Bliss, Jonathan and his wife, Elaine, fell in love with El Paso. They joined STBC in 2019, and in 2020 Jonathan was called to be a deacon. Jonathan oversees the children’s Sunday School program at STBC, and teaches both teens and adults. Jonathan and Elaine have been married for 23 years and have two daughters, Karis and Azlynn.
